YES I LOVE BEING HOME!   NO IT IS NOT EASY!    We have a routine...it sucks when it rains...yesterday I was in my PJS at 5pm and today I showered for the first time in 3 days...but we made it!

Found out Tuesday we are having a boy. =)

Still bargain hunting and loving it!  Got these first official new baby purchases at old Navy. 30% off all clearance.  2 of the newborn shirts were $1.37! Kdog picked out clearance stuff too. Baby J got some new shoes too all for $19. Came home to most of my Medco order (not shown) and 2 free samples of ladypons!

Happy SUMMER!

Hmmm

OPERATION SWING VOTE

TEACHBROECK On 11:10 AM

ON Tuesday June 8th we will find who rules the roost!!! BOYS OR GIRLS!

I am trying not to care either way...feeling "disappointed" would be selfish...I have been showing GREAT self control with shopping and waiting to paint Baby J's room downstairs. I am lucky to have all summer.

I would NOT be surprised if it is a boy.

GOOD
Brothers are a sweet thing (never quote me on that!)
I have plenty of clothes, would need new winter jammies/clothes, bibs and blankies but once he is older he can wear Baby J clothes  (When i start bloggin again this summer I need to change his name he is 2 for pete's sake!)
The NURSERY WOULD BE DONE!
Baby J gets a more elaborate NEW ROOM
The Name is probably Holden or Kash
Kdog would be the PRINCESS of the house...something special for her

I would be TICKLED if it was a girl
GOOD
SHOPPINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Baby J's room would be cheap-just move the boy things down! ( I did brown and blues nothing too babyish)
K would have a sister
Baby J would never have to be taught to share ;)
TOP Girl's name was taken or we think it will be in August ( I live in a town of 300 remember) My favorite girl name is LYLA then we like AVA/AVERY...but that is going to snatched up in July most likely
Jdog loves Hadlee....
Girls are easier the first 5 years, which means a I could survive H then the girl could get mouthy when he tames down about 6.

CAN YOU SEE ME WITH 2 LITTLE BOYS?????????????????????? I may need therapy.

Sunday morning.

TEACHBROECK On 6:12 AM

So last night we went to go visit our friends and their new baby girl. She is 2 weeks old and of course BREATHTAKING. I held her a few times and Baby J was playing with the other kids. the last time I held her Baby J wanted to come up. He roughly jostled onto my lap and the baby started to cry. I felt bad. He kept pushing her saying "GO". He was tired and cranky, but I wanted to cry. In 7 months this is how my life be. Will he like the baby? Be too rough? Will I be able to leave them in the same room alone to make supper or pee? Kdog was at a sleepover. I wanted her to react to the little baby too, but her social life is all consuming these days! She will be a great help, but is still child. I can't over depend on her. She will end up on Oprah replacement telling her stories of raising her siblings and the toll the responsibility took on her life.

I am scared.

Tubes (not the ones I am tying soon)

TEACHBROECK On 4:59 PM

So BabyJ had ear infections. LOTS of ear infections. They did not clear up with multiple antibiotic treatments, dairy reduction, chiropractic care. In fact, the last 2 months he was on 5 different antibiotics continuously, because he would get horrible fevers and pneumonia and even low oxygen levels all stemming from the ear infections. We would treat one and go back to get it checked and still infected!. Needless to say I have VERY little sick time left. My daycare policy is they have to be fever free for 24 hours. I don't think BabyJ has made a full week of daycare since Christmas. Conjointly I have taken many days off and thankfully Jdog has been able to help out and take some off too. Finally we got the referral for an ENT at my go -to hospital. They said we could come in MAY. MAY? He could have 6 more infections by then. We are getting on a plane with PRESSURE issues at the end of the month and you can't see him until MAY? Plan B...went to my small town Nurse Practitioner who I ADORE...and she pulled strings to get an appointment with EXCELLENT ENT at another hospital. I have so little sick time left (you do know I am pregnant right? ha ha NO PAID MATERNITY LEAVE FOR ME NEXT YEAR!) anyway Jdog took him to the appointment. He had some hearing loss (temporary) and very little drum reaction. He scheduled the tube procedure IMMEDIATELY.

Fast forward to Monday. I got up a 4:30am , packed my little jammy boy and drove to my hometown. I was so proud of myself for doing this without Jdog, but like I said we both had taken so much time off we have to spread it out. Got to the hospital and got into our room immediately. Thank god they scheduled it early because he couldn't eat. I was concerned how I was going to explain to a very food loving 22 month old that he couldn't EAT. Then I saw them.

The scrubs. I was torn. THEY WERE SO DAMN CUTE and SO DAMN SCARY. It was one of the many times I could have broken down. (emotional with pregnancy, Florida trip and then this) but I did not. I kept telling myself there were little ones all over the world suffering from much worse than this. Enduring chemo, transplants or even worse third world countries just plain old suffering.

So I sucked it up.

BabyJ was eerily calm. Normally he would have had that small waiting room turned inside out, but he just sat on my lap for 45 minutes and rocked and watched TV. Never asked for juice. Never asked to eat. Never tried to escape or jump around. Then the nurses came and gave him "relaxing meds" . It was great because when the surgical nurses came he went with them willing and gladly ( I NEED SOME OF THOSE MEDS- AT THE VERY LEAST THEY COULD HAVE HAD BAILEYS by the coffee.) Anyway the whole thing to 15 minutes and in the waiting room, where I sat in solitude and updated my facebook, people were sharing who they were waiting for. One lady was waiting for her husband to undergo a 6 hour prostrate cancer operation. I took a deep breath and thanked God I was only there for tubes. BabyJ was a little upset coming out of surgery. Cried for a bit. DR said he had months of built up fluid which they had to pull out like gum! EW! We left and I ran to Target where he proceeded to flirt the checkers. Super fast recovery. Was bouncing off the walls after a 3 hours nap.

ALL GOOD.

Monday

TEACHBROECK On 10:01 AM

I did mention I was PREGNANT right? No one seems to be quite as hysterical as I am. I am better. It will all work out. Last week I went from only having 2 days at a week at my daycare next year for #3 up to 4 days (baby twins are starting in Sept. =limited space). My provider also decided to close for the summer saving my $ to hold my spot all summer. She also has been gracious and is allowing me to pay for baby #3 (any great ideas for a nickname?) until he/she starts in Dec. or Jan. instead of in the fall to hold his/her spot. IT WILL ALL WORK OUT!

In other news....BabyJ had tubes in his ears today...I will post about that tomorrow. He is good. Mom survived.
Kdog was gone most the weekend and came home 16...oofda god grant me wisdom with her.
