Smalltown Days

This weekend was our town's fest days...all the Midwest towns have them...you know cheese curds, parades, softball tournament and oh yha the beer tent! So we dedicated Friday night and most of Saturday to the kids (Kdog mostly) and DID end up working out all the babysitting issues. After 2 long hot days of carting the kids around I was tired, but so excited to spend a night dancing and schmoozing with my Jdog! MORE ON THAT LATER!


Friday was fun...just visited with friends and ate our hearts desire of brats and nachos. K and her friends enjoyed the street dance and we ended the night with fireworks. I only had one beer that night, but I didn't mind watching the girls dance..Jdog pretty much drank beer and BSed but overall he did not ditch me too bad!



Here are some pictures of the street dance...I forgot my memory chip in my computer so only took a few pictures using the internal memory.

Saturday Jdog left early because the Fire Dept does a lot with the fishing contest and of course the water fights. I knew I would have the 2 kids most of the day, it went okay even with the heat and me feeling like a packmule with the stroller weighted down with enough crap to sink a ship. K refuses to be in the kiddie parade and only watched the fishing contest. Then the water fights were on....! The kids love to splash around in the residual hose water and I love to cheer my man on! I think we took second..and then Jdog and a friend went one on one for case of beer. He lost. I dropped K and her friend off for the night then went home to shower and give Baby J a proper nap...about 6pm I went back to town, scooped up that babysitter, drove them to J's mom's house and I was a FREE WOMAN! Had some drinks, chatted, finally hooked up with my gang and then was just about to get my groove on when Jdog's pager went of. YEP the one night we have off HE HAD A HOUSE FIRE...which in our small town RARELY happens...I hung out with my friends but he didn't get back until 2am when we headed home. BOO HOO I WANT A Redo! O'well I guess if he wanted to ruin my drinking night to go be a hero he can!

family pics went okay.....I HATE THE WAY I LOOK! I Hacked my hair off on a whim and did no yet have the right barrel iron to do it they way I like...K was gorg...didn't even care about the lack of lashes...the web site is down of course or I would get a few to post


I just feel big and slumpy even though I have been working out and trying to be active...

To top it off My friend forwarded me a batch of pics from her friend ( i know here but not well) that were perfect...great outside shots...cute candids with the dog...the baby was all smiles...I just want to chuck ours in the trash...Selfbash day!

I have been hitting redial on my phone like a teenagers trying to get ahold of a DJ...all for LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE musical tickets...Mellisa Gilbert is playing ma and I really want to take K....she has the DVD sets and loves to go to LH museum ...I have seen almost every episode..and still call myself NELLY when I am being a bitch...it is something we have in common...so far no luck...but the Internet sales go on tomorrow


Baby J slept from 10:30pm to 6am...then we slept in bed together until 10...I could not believe it...he had a busy day with pictures...Kdog's game out in the heat then a rehearsal dinner...


Kdog went early to her dad's after game ...she found G & G were staying over night to watch Baby J when we go to a wedding Sat...so I negotiated and gave up part of July 4th (my BDAY) so she could stay with them...she will be such a help and I won't have to show may parents where every single thing is or write out a schedule for the animals she knows all that...



SIDE NOTE 1: Kdog's dad gf is his brother's xwife...HOW JERRY IS THAT I don't think I have blogged much about it, but anyway I hate her...she showed up to K's game on her bike in a sports bra that she must have biked 50 miles to get there...and here I am with a burprag and my pants falling down despite my muffin top



SIDE NOTE 2: I have spent most the am hiding porn since my parents are coming to stay hee hee

We had the rehearsal dinner last night at a dive bar, but the food is awesome...jerk chicken and rice...cooked by Jamaicans that come all the way here during the summer to work at this restaurant..it was good to see all my party girls again..but it will be better Sat when I am going to cut loose in my new dress !

No spicy chicken for you!







Okay to ease my selfbash day I am going to list the good things in my life at this moment
(How very Oprah of me!):



1. Both kids are happy and healthy



2.I am going to a wedding with all my friends this weekend



3. I get to see my hubby in a tux



4. Our sex life has been awesome lately



5. It is not so humid today


I paide over 100 to get color and a cut...she cut layers which I loved when she styled but I can't do it...so I have been wearing my hair like this! for 2 weeks




Umm why do I always take pics right out of bed? I haven't even brushed my teeth here...the necklace is still on from last night! But you get the idea

Snowglobe

Once in a great while we find these DISGUSTING creatures n our basement. They are HUGE...they do not match up physically with any of the common spiders I fount on the Internet. they are only in the basement and garage, but I want them GONE. WE already put out 150 bucks in the fall for ladybugs OH EXCUSE ME JAPANESE BETTLES...but I am willing to sell my foot for an exterminator. I wish I would have put a quarter by it to show a better scale. I think its eye is GLOWING!
How can this little poser be the song in my heart one minute and the reason I blow up and cry the next. We have hit a rough patch I am asking God for the patience to love her through this. And maybe she can forgive me for having a temper.
This is K's favorite meal. Yes she still uses the Pooh plate once in awhile...then her food doesn't TOUCH!
Cue angelic, miracle music here: I have done the dishes since I can remember. It was my JOB-I had lots of chores but none I detested more than the dishes. Ww are getting a portable dishwasher very soon for bottles and well the rest of the dishes, but are waiting on a good deal through a family member. ANYWAY...last night K did the dishes....!!!!! Jdog does them for me ALOT.....he knows I hate them and he has always helped me around the house,plus I am not to skimpy on the BJs so we all win =). BUT NOW I HAVE A DISH WASHER GIRL! WHOWHO!!! I did tell her if she did them and her other few chores, I would give her 5 bucks a week. She needs to learn to save and spend ....too bad she already lost a dollar for arguing that one of the dishes was clean when it was obviously dirty. Book your lawyer now folks!

We are getting some snow here....more interesting it is suppose to be breaknipple cold this weekend. As in 35 BELOW zero. Bunker down WI and MN!

I am reading The Red Tent right now (thanks angiesmangie) and I LOVE IT...I don't want it to end. I love it when a book sucks you in and you actually SKIP "The Bachelor" on TV. I made stuffed shells last night; K's favorite. They take forever, but I make 2 batches so I guess it is worth it. I LOVE TO COOK. I was thinking of making this a food blog too....just pics and recipes but not sure if I am that ambitious!

I should have maybe taken a picture of the final product (DUR)! instead of the paraphernalia...I have an extra batch so I will document next time.
