Smalltown Days

TEACHBROECK On 2:18 PM

This weekend was our town's fest days...all the Midwest towns have them...you know cheese curds, parades, softball tournament and oh yha the beer tent! So we dedicated Friday night and most of Saturday to the kids (Kdog mostly) and DID end up working out all the babysitting issues. After 2 long hot days of carting the kids around I was tired, but so excited to spend a night dancing and schmoozing with my Jdog! MORE ON THAT LATER!

Friday was fun...just visited with friends and ate our hearts desire of brats and nachos. K and her friends enjoyed the street dance and we ended the night with fireworks. I only had one beer that night, but I didn't mind watching the girls dance..Jdog pretty much drank beer and BSed but overall he did not ditch me too bad!

Here are some pictures of the street dance...I forgot my memory chip in my computer so only took a few pictures using the internal memory.

Saturday Jdog left early because the Fire Dept does a lot with the fishing contest and of course the water fights. I knew I would have the 2 kids most of the day, it went okay even with the heat and me feeling like a packmule with the stroller weighted down with enough crap to sink a ship. K refuses to be in the kiddie parade and only watched the fishing contest. Then the water fights were on....! The kids love to splash around in the residual hose water and I love to cheer my man on! I think we took second..and then Jdog and a friend went one on one for case of beer. He lost. I dropped K and her friend off for the night then went home to shower and give Baby J a proper nap...about 6pm I went back to town, scooped up that babysitter, drove them to J's mom's house and I was a FREE WOMAN! Had some drinks, chatted, finally hooked up with my gang and then was just about to get my groove on when Jdog's pager went of. YEP the one night we have off HE HAD A HOUSE FIRE...which in our small town RARELY happens...I hung out with my friends but he didn't get back until 2am when we headed home. BOO HOO I WANT A Redo! O'well I guess if he wanted to ruin my drinking night to go be a hero he can!

Fun in the streets

weekend...

TEACHBROECK On 12:01 PM

strange posting about my weekend ON the weekend....not Monday morning at school...loving my new notebook...

thrift sale is OVER! Made pretty good money for living out in the booneys ...met some new nicer neighbors my age who have one every year and said we should coordinate to get more traffic. I don't know why I love having thrift sale...it feels good to purge the house of clutter and go through all the old outfits...only one person pulled the ole SWTICH the PRICETAG SCAM...f'ers

I am meeting my girlfriends from work tonight at an outdoor restaurant with wine as the main menu item! I can't wait...

Speaking of weight...( I am a homophone dork) I mentioned in my first post back that I lost 37 pounds...please don't think I am bragging anyone who reads here knows I am no slim person normally! the same thing happened with K ..it fell off...I think I have so much adrenaline I don't make eating a priority...plus the 34098540596 trips up the steps doesn't hurt either...

anyway my point is I always GAIN IT back and hate myself....I need to get rid of the the muffin top...I asked my Dr about a tummy tuck, but he said NO! DO YOGA...gah...I used to be a runner, but other than that I hate exercise unless it is a sport like swimming or V-ball...but gyms, and aerobics classes HATE! I did Yoga once this week and did feel better...with the thrift sale I was too busy (see already finding excuses!) anyway I would take any great tips about the losing the BUDDA

UPDATES: Kdog has not pulled any lashes out...I really restrained myself from looking on the net about it because I know there is an OCD connection or it can just be a bad habit...like I mentioned before she only did in the car...she went camping with her dad 5 hours away and I am praying she didn't...

Baby J seems less fussy before bed with only using nursery water and Ventaire bottles...I had been using whatever bottles were clean before but I tried only the Ventaire the last two days and I think I notice a difference...

I was up from 3am -4:30 pm last night ...Baby J was fast asleep I just couldn't sleep FIGURES!

We get a super deal on baby formula from a guy J works with but miscalculated our time and hod to go to our country grocery store....26 BUCKS for can!!! shit...with that and gas I could be lower class very soon! You will see me on the news..caught on a gas station security tape driving off because I can't afford to pay...okay...picture time!

Apples, ducks, double chins and shock collars

TEACHBROECK On 12:51 PM

I am behind on posts....is a quick and photographically lovely update-remember I don't make this sh!t up!

Once again the weather played its little games and it was WARM and BEEFESTED at the appleorchdpumpkinpatch
I had to bribe K to take her own pictures before she would pose for one....I hate my face, my chins and my PUFFY self! I really don't feel like I have gained tons of weight...I have just done ZERO activity! SO I am getting soggy or something.

There was some cry for belly pics...umm I forgot until 10 minutes ago and ran to the bathroom...quick snapped a fuzzy shot before some poor girl came in the BR and thought I was a pervert with a camera in the bathroom. Of course you can see nothing- But the puffy face and the community trash can!

Only in my dinky little town do we have DUCK crossing. Also notice the ripped up streets...down the road is the school...we have been under construction for 2 months! A week ago the roads will filled with machines only 8 year-old boys would recognize and men in hard hats would have to halt so I could WALK across the street to K from a friend's house. In a little town like this there are only so many ways to turn! We have been parking all over town while the main drag was dug up...

I wanted to do a full blown post on the craziness of INSTALLING the shock collar and fence. (one day ofter the ball snipping!) Seriously, nothing runs normally in my house. This is the cat literally SITTING on the instruction booklet OPENED to the page about the voltage! See the green box? HE was actually checking it out. How do I turn this damn thing up to BURNT DOG?

I am swearing to whatever higher being you adore...I do not pose this STUFF!! I don't think cat has ever even been on the water softener and now he is reading up how to kill the dog!

This is what Gage thought of the instuctional manual to the shock collar. Really. I love this picture, but I did not set it up. In fact this was 2 days later after it sat in the rain. J forgot it on the deck railing (where he also has "forgotten" lots of mail, beer, PHONES, his wallet)

This final picture also amuses me. Can you see what he using to "bury" the cable? GOOD LORD!

For all you animal loveravocates: the collar is because he was running across the fields after huge farm killing machinery that again only 8 year olds would know the name of. He was also running a 1/2 mile down the road to our friend's house who happen to have a FEMALE golden...we were so worried he would end up hit on the country roads that teenager like to think have no accidents -ever.

He did shocked the first day, but now stays away from the "line" and loves being able to be out most of the day and not chained up because he lusted the dog down the road. =)

Yes Gage...I put the deck furniture out JUST FOR YOU. Not only so you could lounge in it, but also so you could get twisted up in it 47 times a day. Also, thank you for taking the blame for my fart last night.

You Might Be a Redneck IF

TEACHBROECK On 6:00 AM

....at some point you have cattle in your backyard. EATING your grass. We live next to an organic farm ( no pesticides) and they rotate the grazers in all their fields. Usually we don't even see them, but once in awhile I look out my window and there they are! The fields are on 3 sides of our acre so you never know when you will come around a tree or the house and be face to face with one of these beasts!

....you daughter not only knows HOW to steer this thing....BUT ENJOYS IT. JDog bought this yesterday. I made him sign a contract to do some of the odd jobs he has been putting off before he bought it. The list MAY have included telling his wife she is beautiful twice a week =)

.....your husband just bought a new riding lawnmower and his favorite feature is the beer beverage holder. Well at least I won't have to meet him half way through the yard and do the Bud Light drive by!!! At the time we lived in the Ghetto house so it seemed natural to pass off beer off to him whilst mowing.

Pass on the Penthouse

TEACHBROECK On 9:37 AM

I was watching the VIEW (settle down ..I happen to adore Rosie...and don't remember bashing anything on your site...well except once with GFF but that was an accident!) She has my sense of humor with the facial expressions and knocking people down to earth AND GUN CONTROL to protect the thousands of kids that shoot their siblings each year ((totally made that stat up but roll with it))
ANYHEW.....She was asking the other ladies on the panel from hell about how they were raised and if they ever FELT poor not knowing what white/blue collate meant. She then asked about some of the elites' houses they had all been to and what "Living High Society" meant to them. Finally, she told anecdote about visiting some rich lady and asking the doorman what apt. this wealthy woman lived in. The doorman replied, " You mean what floor?" Rosie thought everyone would aspire/dream of having that Penthouse or grandiose apartment...that was IT- the top of the line. My dear Rosie ( who I do love how she pauses at the right time in the favor of comedy) I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE .
