Any links to some easy blogger templates?
Sunday morning.
So last night we went to go visit our friends and their new baby girl. She is 2 weeks old and of course BREATHTAKING. I held her a few times and Baby J was playing with the other kids. the last time I held her Baby J wanted to come up. He roughly jostled onto my lap and the baby started to cry. I felt bad. He kept pushing her saying "GO". He was tired and cranky, but I wanted to cry. In 7 months this is how my life be. Will he like the baby? Be too rough? Will I be able to leave them in the same room alone to make supper or pee? Kdog was at a sleepover. I wanted her to react to the little baby too, but her social life is all consuming these days! She will be a great help, but is still child. I can't over depend on her. She will end up on Oprah replacement telling her stories of raising her siblings and the toll the responsibility took on her life.
I am scared.
Tubes (not the ones I am tying soon)
So BabyJ had ear infections. LOTS of ear infections. They did not clear up with multiple antibiotic treatments, dairy reduction, chiropractic care. In fact, the last 2 months he was on 5 different antibiotics continuously, because he would get horrible fevers and pneumonia and even low oxygen levels all stemming from the ear infections. We would treat one and go back to get it checked and still infected!. Needless to say I have VERY little sick time left. My daycare policy is they have to be fever free for 24 hours. I don't think BabyJ has made a full week of daycare since Christmas. Conjointly I have taken many days off and thankfully Jdog has been able to help out and take some off too. Finally we got the referral for an ENT at my go -to hospital. They said we could come in MAY. MAY? He could have 6 more infections by then. We are getting on a plane with PRESSURE issues at the end of the month and you can't see him until MAY? Plan B...went to my small town Nurse Practitioner who I ADORE...and she pulled strings to get an appointment with EXCELLENT ENT at another hospital. I have so little sick time left (you do know I am pregnant right? ha ha NO PAID MATERNITY LEAVE FOR ME NEXT YEAR!) anyway Jdog took him to the appointment. He had some hearing loss (temporary) and very little drum reaction. He scheduled the tube procedure IMMEDIATELY.

Monday
I did mention I was PREGNANT right? No one seems to be quite as hysterical as I am. I am better. It will all work out. Last week I went from only having 2 days at a week at my daycare next year for #3 up to 4 days (baby twins are starting in Sept. =limited space). My provider also decided to close for the summer saving my $ to hold my spot all summer. She also has been gracious and is allowing me to pay for baby #3 (any great ideas for a nickname?) until he/she starts in Dec. or Jan. instead of in the fall to hold his/her spot. IT WILL ALL WORK OUT!

Remember this pic? This was oh Hudson's 3rd antibiotic for his maybe 5th ear infection. I had just found out I was pregnant...and Justin caught me crying in bed...not sad...just hoping this little guy got enough of mommy....he is still a baby.
update
Lady Antebellum
Dear Santa, NO TOYS! and a bonus therapy session
Notice he lying amongst all the toys but prefers to engage in selfmutilation by pestering the cat long enough until he gets bit.
Fun times behind bars
Technically he is near a toy here, but look again he is vacuuming it (more on this later when I share my momdiagnosed OCD of this child )
Again not a toy.
In a funk today... could not figure it out..I mean last night I got 40% off all my Kohl's purchases plus had 20 dollars in Kohl's Kash...that should ensure a week or two of euphoria. I love my Target but they are not dishin out 40%off the new Littlest Pet Shop Crap. Then I figured it out it- was my first Halloween with out Kdog. It has been during the week the last 6 years and her dad lives to far away to share on the week days. Baby J has a cute costume (FINE is it Kdog's from 10 years ago..again WINE MONEY!) But between the fact he can't eat candy and the before mentioned OCD tendencies he (HATES HIS COSTUME ON) it seems ridiculous to take him Trick-or Treating. I mean noone wants to see my bentover-sweatin-pants-fallin -off smile when they open the door. Halloween is for Kdog's age. The excitement, the friends, the dance, THE EVERLOVING CANDY! I never liked it...I have dressed up once in 10 years. But I guess I will force Baby J in the costume, take him in and out of the car seat 45 times in the mock 10 wind so he can look at the candy I have asked family not to give him and then scream when I take it away. Even next year he at least eat the stuff until his sticky fingers ache from unwrapping. I would rather stay home and stalk Jen Lancaster online.
But....those days of no baby. The tears- the secret promises between God and I.
The show must go on!
Happy Halloween!
trying to get hood off
and I am alive and well...
Totally into Kenny and Dave's I'm Alive song right now.
How are you kids? The flu is going crazy around here! Baby J had rash and temp for 2 days. Urgent care peeps said VIRAL so no meds...he snapped out of it just in time for a mommy night with the girls!
Are you getting your kids vaccinated for H1N1..??? I don't really fear immunization usually. I know some feel there is a connection between them and autism...I feel I give them the immunizations my DR recommends so they don't die of Polio. But the H1N1 has me confused...it is SO NEW! But see kids DYING! BABIES!!! I think in most the deaths the children have had some other health concerns. Our school is doing a mass SHOTFEST next week...I just can't decide what to do.
Hubby hunts most of the week (grr!) and he has to help cut wood AKA drink all day on Saturday so I am hanging with the kiddos most of the week.
And also. I saved Baby J's life on Sunday. Really I did. I am so glad to have active, crazy and sometimes crabby kids and and chore list that ever ends because that means I'm alive .......and well.
Trying
I am trying to keep a good attitude BUT:
Last night another teacher kept her conference 25 extra minutes so when I had a conference for the sibling it was WAY after it was time for me to go home (7:30 pm)!
Another teacher with a severe eating (or NOT eating ) disorder constantly brings in FOOD and CANDY - I wan to leave a note:
PLEASE STOP BRINGING THIS STUFF IN ! BRING IN HEALTHY SNACKS!!! WE DON'T NEED ALL THIS SUGAR (AND GOD KNOWS YOU ARE NOT EATING ANY OF IT!!!)
I have very emotional kids this year. I am fabulous with BEHAVIOR issues not so hot with emotional issues ( I had a chair thrown at me last week!) I am growing as an educator, but it is exhausting to be this calm!
My husband is so wonderful....but he came home late Monday...I had a hot homemade meal ready! Dishes done, kids squeaky clean. I come late last night and he had the house so neat BUT he had to eat with me and so I had to make everything and have a crawling toddler on me!!! I KNOW I KNOW I love the that little toddler but EAT like a normal person at 5 or 6 so when I get home I can relax for 4 minutes while I eat my sandwich! I don't have many rules but when MOMMA HUNGRY watch out....6 days a week I eat half my supper on the bathroom floor because Baby J gets done eating and he needs to be immediately hosed down...once he is done I can't hardly keep him from leaping out of the highchair! Fine -family enjoy your supper I will get up and take care of pigpen! But when I work 12 hours and and tired and hungry couldn't someone else just entertain him for awhile!?
Sorry WHINY!
HAPPY THINGS FOR AN "OPRAHCOUNTERBALANCE":
*Baby J slept ALL night last night!
*Kdog stayed with during conferences to help out with VB and then helped in the library. I was proud of her....she did not complain once about being hungry (unlike me ha!) or being bored.
*One of my dearest friends has a birthday this weekend and I get to help her celebrate at one of my favorite restaurants!
* When I left this morning the kitchen was clean! I love coming home to a clean house....I guess Jdog isn't so bad =)
Friday
Things are good in my life. We have a busy, healthy life so I have nothing to complain about, but of course I still do!
I have had many heartswelling, misty eyed moments with Kdog this year. She is in 5th grade. You know the LAST grade at the elementary building where I work.
1. They announced her birthday last month over the PA here at school...I have heard that announcement for 7 years....no more
2. At a football game I let her and a friend "walk around"-even to the opponents side WAYYY across the field. No more standing my mom's side.
3. Her outfits are cuter than mine these days.
4. She asked if she could bring girly toys to school for recess and I usually say NO, but next year there won't be recess - and probably no girly toys.
5. We are preparing to move the kids' rooms and create a play room in the basement-Kdog's playroom is a MESS-but there is door I can shut so I never care. Half the toys in there are done being played with. Strollers, babies, puppets, dress up clothes. Very sad.
She still loves Littlest Pet Shop and teaching school so I get to see her PLAY. She still insists I tuck her in...still reaches for me when she gets a scrape, still slips her hand in mine when no one is around. I am savoring this last season of a girl. I see the tween coming and is is beautiful and scary.
BabyJ is the funniest creature I have ever seen. He does whatever we do.
1. He yells babbling yet insulting words down the stairs (that would be me screaming down at someone)
2. He unpacks cases of beer and tips the cans up to his mouth with vigor (that would be Jdog)
3. He scolds the dog with his pointer finger (that would be all of us)
4. He slaps dish towels against the counter and cabinets (that would be me killing flies this summer)
5. He dances like Micheal Jackson on crack (ME!!)
He does not have time for trivial things like getting dressed...but loves his bath....he does not sleep through the night every night...(any of you that know me the first year was tough) but he puts himself to sleep and usually makes it. He is beautiful, smart and funny and I can't believe I am his mother.
ME: I have a hard class this year-lots of emotional issues. I am a great behavior goddess but these poor babies with anxiety, OCD etc... (good thing I remember to take MY meds hee hee )....I am learning a lot. I never workout, I eat too much, I am always tired but pretty much happy. Contentment can be boring sometimes...I struggle to not create issues just create some stimulation.
Jdog is good....he 95% the most dedicated, remarkable husband and father. He does dishes, changes diapers, lets me sleep in on Saturdays, makes me coffee....and the 5% asshole he is still working on. I knew he was a dirty fighter (verbally) when I met him...he lacks keen and sneaky communicating skills like me so he just gets mean and hurtful. We are working on it. I love him...good and bad.
Enough of me...been lurking on your blogs...need some fresh ones to check out and miss some old friends (Thank God for Facebook!)
