*** In no way am I trying to start a debate, pick a side and certainly NEVER want to offend anyone.
These are just my thoughts.
I did not breast feed K.
I will not breastfeed H.
I feel breast is the BEST!
I also feel:
Formula has come a long way.
K never had one ear infection. (some people say the bottle does that)
Most importantly my boobs...yha their mine and I have been Highly sensitive about them since Jr high when I slapped a boy in dance class for saying they were big.
I would rather have an examination "downtown" than a breast exam.
I freak out when they get touched or brushed up on (by babies or accidents not MEN!)
Jdog knows there is a time and there is NOT a time to be anywhere near them.
I have had many friends they have wanted to breastfeed and have told me about the BLEEDING , crying, frustration..
I TRULY believe that my stress and anxiety would affect H. He will sense it and not feed well. I have heard stories about bonding. I believe it! But I bonded with K over the bottle as well. My friend who just had her baby said she does not feel like she is bonding when she breasts feed but she still does it.
Believe me if I wanted to even a little....for the mere fact of the price of FORMULA!!!
Anyway those are my thoughts...thank god we can all make our own choices and not feel shamed!

I love and support you- AND your INFORMED decision! (I totally would have made the word informed bigger if I could...)
You go mama! And if anyone gives you any guff about your INFORMED decision, beat the hell outta them! (Oh yeah, I know you could.)
I also support you! I do think that breastfeeding is the best thing, but it's just not for everybody. I tried it with Ava, and because I had breast reduction when I was 19, it just didn't work. I'm also VERY sensitive about my boobs...I think it definately should be the individual womans decision whether they do it or not. I don't think it's fair of society to label a woman a bad mother if they don't. I support women who do, but I also feel it's okay if you choose not to. Ava has been disgustingly healthy, and I'm not sure if her being fed formula has anything to do with that or not. Formula HAS come a long way. Bottom line for me is that I was a formula fed baby and I turned out pretty darn good :-) Sorry to rant...
THANK YOU k.b. and BECCA!! This is why I chose friends who RESPECT eachother.
K did breastfeed and I honestly don't know if she felt like she was bonding or not. I do have to say that the times I fed E with the bottle (whether it was breast milk or formula) was a definate bonding time for me. K's friend did not breastfeed and that is ok to.
H will not know the difference and will love you for being his mom, just like Kdog does!!
One more thing... H??!?!?!?! A CLUE!! Hayden? Halsey? GAH the suspense is killing me!!
Your baby your choice! You do what's best for YOU! Don't let what anyone else says affect your decision. I breastfeed E and look how damn sick we've been this winter! pffhh to bfeeding I say!
One more thing... I think the main reason we did it was cause it was free!
